Corcovado & Sugarloaf Bus Tour

After the pick-up at the hotels, the tour to Corcovado Hill (704m), and the greatest national icon – The Christ Redeemer Statue of Rio de Janeiro – starts at Copacabana beach, continues along Botafogo beach and passes by Botafogo Soccer Club, Federal University, Guanabara Palace, the official residence of the State´s Governor and the Fluminense Soccer Club and São Judas Tadeu Church On the way to Laranjeiras and Cosme Velho districts, where one can still appreciate the old manor homes of coffee plantation owners of the 1800. The tour will reach Tijuca Forest, with a stop at Paineiras to board the vehicles of the National Park Authority.On the way down, en route to Sugar Loaf, we see Largo do Boticário and Casa dos Abacaxis – relics of the Brazilian Empire. We Continue along Botafogo beach towards Praia Vermelha, in the district of Urca, passing by the imposing neo-classical buildings of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, the Institute Benjamim Constant for the blind and the National Institute for Mineral Resources. Reach the almost centenary Sugar Loaf cable-car station.
