Wake up just in time to see the sun rises and extend such a refreshing start with an unforgettable day trip to the natural gems of southwestern Iceland.

Things to do Golden Circle Afternoon Tour

First up on our adventure is Geysir geothermal area and its boiling hot springs. Although Geysir, which gave its name to this amazing natural phenomenon, is no longer active, its brother Strokkur will surprise you when it sprouts boiling water in the air every 5 to 8 minutes. Only a few kilometers from there flows the impressive Golden Waterfall Gullfoss. Its unparalleled shape offers a show that will stun you. Its torrential waters run down two steps onto a 32 meter deep canyon. Last but not least is Þingvellir National Park. It is the famous for being the best place on Earth to observe the divergence of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates as well as the site where the Icelandic parliament was founded back in 930. It is no surprise that Þingvellir was added on the list of the UNESCO World Heritage List for its cultural values in 2004, as it is a site like no other for historical and geological reasons.
