“very good tour with great guide”
Ivan was a very good guide and funny person. We did an advanced tour with climbing which I wouldn‘t recommend to unfit people bit we had a lot fun! Ivan knows a lot about the catacombs and he even had some time after to take me to the nearby post office to send some cards. We were glad that we could visit the catacombs and Ukraine in these times.

“Excellent Tour”
I met Egor at 5pm in Odessa and we traveled about 40 minutes on a bus. From there we walked a short distance to the entrance to the catacombs where we met a few explorers of the catacombs which was really interesting. Egor was very informative and full of intresting details about Ukraine and the catacombs. His scope of knowledge about everything was terrific and the tour inside the catacombs lasted about two hours before we got a taxie back to Odessa. I would highly recommend Egor as a guide. Super evening spent in Odessa and I can comfortably recommend it to anybody.

The tour was great! It lasts about 2 hours + 2 hours for traveling. Egor is a great tour leader with big knowledge about catacombs.

Egor show us the catacombs. He knows a lot as he is a speleologist and knew all the places inside. we played a game to find some places inside but i wasnt able to find the spots :)). Recommended!

“Great experience, don't miss it !”
We went to the Nerubais'ke part of the Catacombs, which are apparently a more of a wild and not often visited part of the complex. The experience was breathtaking from the get go. Narrow tunnels, collapsed passages, hidden passages, etc. All in complete darkness.
Big thanks to Igor, our guide, who was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions and provided interesting trivia. Not to mention that he knew the tunnels like the back of his hand ;)
Do not miss this experience if you visit Odesa!

“Odessa Catacombs”
Very cool experience to go see the Catacombs. The only thing we did not understand clearly was that we have to take a local small bus to the area of entrance and back. This was not included in our fee online. Our guide Igor was very experienced. You can tell he is knowledgeable. However, it is helpful to have Russian speakers who can translate small details to their English speaking friends. Bring sneakers and warm clothes.

“Excellent tour with experienced explorer ”
I had a great time with Vanya, an experienced explorer, who gave me an interesting view of history of the last hundreds of years in Odessa as told through the catacombs, from the miners to Baptists to partisans. He was able to adjust the tour based on my appetite for adventure (can make it easier or harder) and also provided interesting insights on the modern explorer community. Thank you for a great day out.

Valentin is an absolute expert, and the catacombs are a location where expert assistance is absolutely necessary. I could not possibly have had such a great experience were it not for his guidance. He knows the catacombs like the back of his hand (whereas I would have been lost within two minutes of exploration), and has all sorts of interesting history as well as personal experiences to tell about. A genuinely interesting guy to talk to, whether about the catacombs, Ukrainian/Odessa history, heavy Metal, or literature. Highly recommended.

Great private tour of the catacombs. Enjoyed learning about the history and unique stories of the catacombs during the 2nd world war.

“A great way to get to know the catacombs”
The guide, Valentin, is a real enthusiast. He has been exploring the catacombs for 30 years, so he is an expert. During the tour you get to learn about the history of the catacombs, explore them and even see a part of Valentins collections of treasures that he found during his years of exploration. In addition, the entrance to the catacombs is located in a small Ukrainian village, taking a short walk there was also an interesting experience.
We definetely reccomend taking the tour with Valentin!

“Great experience at Catacombs!”
The tour was excellent! Valentin has 30 years of knowledge and exploring the catacombs which he talked about as we walked in the catacombs. The tour exceeded my expectations and Valentin did a great job explaining the history and telling very interesting stories. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that is interested in the catacombs!

“Interesting and unusual tour through the abandoned catacombs”
It was a really interesting and useful trip to the abaonded catacombs. It's more adventurous and interesting than visiting the museum, where you only visit a little part of it and it's made specially for tourists. In this tour the guide can bring you to special places that were used by miners, explorers or specific groups who were hiding/meeting in the catacombs. It's a place where you should not go by yourself, because you get lost within 5 minutes (and you don't wanna get lost in a labyrinth of 2000 kilometers of tunnels...). Highly recommended!

Must say catacombs were the best thing to do in Odessa.I really enjoyed our tour guide ,was not a problem to find a meeting spot . The tour was awsome ,we made jokes along the tour and the content was funny too

“Great tour”
Valentin is an excellent tour guide. We enjoyed taking the regular city bus north of the city with him as a group, then walking about 1 km to an entrance to the catacombs. Valentin knows the maze well, of course, and has been exploring it since he was a teenager, and his continuing enthusiasm really shows. He had plenty of material prepared to share, but also was open to other questions we had. We are really glad we went with him!

“Great experience”
Very well organized, from beginning til end of the tour. Our guide, Valentin, picked us up near the railway station, directed us to the bus who took us to the village where the tour takes place, and as well took us back to the city after the excursion.
His knowledge of the Catacombs is very vast and while walking underground in the darkness we always felt that he knew the place by heart.
The best part were the stories he told us, cause many of them are based on his own experience and those are not written on the books!
Very unconventional tour that we recommend to everyone visiting Odesa.

“Unique tour”
I was surprised by how much I liked this tour, I knew it was something I wanted to see but didn't quite realise how good the catacombs were until we met our passionate guide. Egor shared his enthusiasm with the group and it was infectious. Through his explanations and stories we got a good grasp of the history and his personal experiences within the catacombs. Not once did we doubt his knowledge or sense of direction, even metres underground in the pitch dark. A truly professional guide. The bus journey out there is also an interesting aspect to it. I highly recommend this tour if you're visiting Odesa.

“Tour in the dark”
The guide has a lot of knowledge about the catacombs. During his childhood he was a lot in the catacombs a can tell authentic stories. Luckily he refueled with Alcohol after we safely got out of the labyrinth.

“Wild Odessa Catacombs ”
A really interesting and unique tour in Odesa. The meeting point was easy to find and Valentin the guide was punctual and helpful. We especially enjoyed the local bus journey out to catacombs to experience how locals travel and learning how to pay the driver when the bus is packed! The catacombs were indeed wild so make sure you wear comfy non-slip shoes and be prepared for a few low ceilings. Valentin gave an excellent tour of the system as well as the history and mythology of the catacombs. He is clearly an authentic explorer, local expert and very passionate not just about what the catacombs represent but also preserving them for the future.

“A different, interesting experience”
Visiting the catacombs is an experience that can end up being uninteresting, or even dangerous, but fortunately enough our guide Valentin was an incredible catacombs enthusiast, and was able to transmit us his long-standing passion for the place and his vast knowledge. “The Catacombs Tour”
The guide was punctual and arrived ten minutes early. We took the public transport to a village outside Odessa.
The guide spoke a good English and when walking with the flashlights he told us a lot about the history and findings of the Catacombs.
It was very interesting and without any doubt worth the money.

“Probably on of the coolest things you can do in Odesa”
This was a really special experience, I really recommend it! First off, it's really cool to walk around some former limestone mines and explore the different paths, drawings and the stories that are connected to Odesa's catacombs. We had been to different catacombs before, but they had been much more explored, and there was less of a treasure hunt feel to it, so even if you've done underground tours before, this one will not be your typical tour at all. What made the tour really special though was our guide, Valentin. He was so knowledgeable, and you could tell he had a real passion for what he was doing and educating people about the catacombs. Probably on of the coolest things you can do in Odesa.

Our Guide was very polite, calm and with a lot of positive energy. He knew the catacombs extremely well and we felt very secure. His knowledge and interest for the catacombs was huge and the evoked our interest for the topic.
Unfortunately his name was too difficult for us to remember. The tour was definetly one of our Highlights in Ukraine!

“Exciting trip to Odessa's catacombs”
We very much enjoyed the trip we took with Valentin to the catacombs. Although it took us around 45 minutes to get to the entrance of the catacombs, the bus trip was an experience in itself, and I recommand it!
Valentin was knowledgable about the system and we felt safe once underground. He had some interesting stories to share and was able to answer all of our questions. Thank you, Valentin!

The guide Valentin knew a lot about the Odessa catacombs and was enthusiastic. He pointed out old graffiti in the catacombs and told us "true" stories about the catacombs. He dispelled the myths about the catacombs and told about his own experiences in the catacombs. Definitely worth your time and money.

The Catacombs tour was very interesting! Our guide Valentin was very nice and explained us everything about the catacombs.
