Focus was definitely on Soho, could be a little bit shifted towards the other places. Would have loved to get some more interesting facts, what to do and eat in this places.

“BEST TOUR!!!”
Only 3 people showed up due to the cold in New York! So we basically got a private tour with Jon which was very nice! It would have been amazing with a big group as well! Jons passionate way of explaining New York City's history and trivia was very special. We could tell that he had exceptional knowledge about the City. It was interesting, informative and at the same time hilarious!! Little jokes every now and then made the tour with Jon entertaining and fun! We made two stops, to get the best slice of pizza in New York (it really was delicious) and a chocolate covered canoli in Little Italy! We hd a lovely time! Would 100% recommend.

“All this with Garrett - amazing tour, amazing guide”
This man is incredible. Is he an actor? An anthropologist? A historian? An ethnologist?
In any case, he works as a city guide and lives all these roles. Garrett dissects Soho, Little Italy, and Chinatown in an extremely vivid, entertaining, and onomatopoeic way, with endless tips on how to live and survive here, and how even we can do it. How? With an ultra-coveted “cronut,” incredibly good and inexpensive dumplings, the best espresso, and above all: a bunch of great stories that bring everything to life, from the monkey-lobster difference in architecture, to actor insights (how much did Heath Ledger last pay for his floor up there?) to the question of why the region of the world you come from determines how far you can get here and how high you can climb. And what does that have to do with Taiwan, the other, free, cosmopolitan China? Go there, listen to Garrett, watch him reenact Keith Haring's paintings, hear him rattle the sounds of old Singer sewing machines, watch him reenact mafia movies under his fur cap that looks like it came from Jarmusch's 'Night on Earth', and point to Asian dishes with a sentence like: “This seems to transcend food rationality.” Any questions? Yes. When does he offer a tour of Central Park? What does he mean when he says as he leaves NYC is not “a park in a city, but a city in a park?!”

“Not to be missed!”
We were a group of 3 and did this tour in August 2025. Our guide, Garrett, was one of the most interesting guides we have ever had!!! So theatrical, uber knowledgeable of all the areas. Many many many interesting facts, lot of history and architecture information, recommendations for food and drinks and some cool stories too. It was probably the best way to explore these neighbourhoods , as we did not have lot of time to do it ourselves.
