Have you ever wondered what lies beneath our feet? How deep New York City goes? How the harbor functions, or what existed before Hudson Yards and the High Line were built? These are just some of the questions we’ll explore on this tour. Together, we’ll uncover how these iconic sites were constructed and what came before them. Strolling through scenic paths, seeing the most iconic examples of “starchitect” architecture next to green gardens. From here, we’ll make our way toward Little Island and Pier 57. Along the way, we’ll visit: 1. USS Intrepid – our starting point 2. Hudson River waterfront – including running paths and riverside views 3. Hudson Yards and the Vessel – with a short restroom break 4. The High Line – the stories behind its sculptures and murals Starchitect buildings: 5. Frank Gehry IAC Building 6. Zaha Hadid residential building 7. Bjarke Ingels / BIG - One Highline 8. Jean Nouvel - 100 11th Ave 9. Thomas Heatherwick - Lantern House 10. Studio Gang - 40 10th Ave 11. Little Island and Pier 57 (END) This tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours and follows mostly flat terrain with some staircases.
