In this Nara FreeTour we will visit some of the most emblematic places of this historic city of Japan, as well as enjoy the wonderful company of the park's friendly deer.
At the appointed time we will meet at the exit of Kintetsu-Nara station, specifically in front of the statue of one of the most important monks for Japanese Buddhism. We will stroll through a lively Shotengai until we reach our first stop, Kofuku-ji, a historic temple where we will talk about the history of the city, as well as delve into the history of this temple. After the visit to Kofuku-ji, we will stroll through Nara Park and enjoy the company of the friendly deer in the park, the explanation of why there are so many will surely surprise you! As we stroll through the park we will be able to spot places of interest such as the Nara National Museum or the unique Himuro Shrine. After our walk through the park we will arrive at the Nandaimon Gate, which will give us the entrance to the grounds of Todai-Ji, home of the largest seated Buddha in Japan.
The tour will end at the Nigatsu-do Pavilion, which has the best panoramic viewpoint in the city of Nara.
