You emerge at the Stone Whispers Crossing, an open clearing filled with smooth, vertical stones arranged in concentric circles. When the wind passes through, the stones emit soft, melodic tones—never the same twice. Your guide shows you how to place your hand on the central stone. Warmth radiates through it, and for a brief moment, you hear faint echoes: voices from long-ago travelers who passed along ancient trading routes that once converged here. Continuing toward the Kalola Sky Bridge, a natural rock arch overlooking the Mpika plateau, the air becomes clearer, lighter, touched with the scent of wild honey. Beneath the arch lies the River of Two Shadows, a slow, silver stream that reflects both daylight and moonlight simultaneously—no matter the time of day.
