Things to do Free Walking Tour Mile End & Little Italy

We will begin our visit in the Mile End, an evolving, artistic, community-driven neighborhood that has been a melting pot of immigration for decades. Then, we will retrace the steps of the earliest Italians in Montreal in Little Italy and end the tour at Jean Talon Market, exploring North America's largest open-air market with fresh local produce from Quebec. These neighborhoods offer culinary delights like wonderful Italian pastries, coffee, and the famous Montreal bagels. Make sure you bring cash with you (some places don't accept cards).

Awesome tour that provided a comprehensive overview of the history and iconic landmarks of the Mile End and Little Italy! Carla was an amazing guide that knew lots about the area as she lives in the neighbourhood, and had so many recommendations to share with the group! Carla is a fantastic and knowledgeable guide! I am not a native English speaker, so she explained the history of the sights in an easy-to-understand fashion. I highly recommend her tours, but I would also suggest allowing for more time as there are many stops to walk between!

I am visiting my son, who lives for a couple of years in the Mile End neighbourhood. I could tell him and his friends a lot what I learned and they did not know. Carla guided us very knowledgeable and informative through her quarters. Although, we were a little bit after schedule Carla took the time and did not rush. We felt very welcomed. Thank You

“No-show guide”

Carla did not show up on the meeting point. We tried contacting her and waited for 15 minutes and she did not reply or appear. We wasted a part of our day trying to be there on time for this. We don’t recommend this to ANYONE! This tour is a SCAM. Such a shame…

“Great way to find out about Mile End and Little Italy”

The tour was great, we were told all about the history of the mile end/plateau and little italy neighbourhoods including the immigration throughout the 20th century. Carla made it fun and engaging. We were a small group and communication was great, giving us lots of recommendations and opportunities to stop and try local treats.

Mile end tour with tour guide Carla was absolutely amazing. She is the kindest and most intelligent guide and does not hesitate to answer any questions you may have. Such a great tour with her around this neighborhood, highly recommend!!
