Funicular Ride & Swiss Mountain Views: Free Tour

Escape the city crowds for a relaxed 2 hour local experience. Ride a historic funicular 1902 above Lucerne and enjoy amazing views over the city, the lake and the Swiss Alps. You will see authentic Swiss farm shops that work on a trust system. While the cows often move to higher mountains in the summer the peaceful farm atmosphere is always there. ​During our break, you can enjoy an optional Swiss tasting box for 5 CHF (about 6 EUR). Includes Swiss cheese, local sausage, crackers, sun-dried apple rings, and apple juice. It is a perfect way to taste the real Switzerland at a scenic viewpoint. Let me know if you want a snack box when you book. We meet and finish together at the main train station. The funicular costs 12 CHF (about 13 EUR) and the bus is free with your Lucerne Pass. Please bring cash for the funicular ticket and optional tasting. If you only have euros, cash payment in euros is also possible through the guide.
