Our journey begins in the heart of León, the Central Park (Parque Central), surrounded by majestic colonial buildings and bustling activity. Here, we'll delve into the city's past, learning about its significance as Nicaragua's intellectual and political hub. As we stroll through the streets, we'll stop at the Mercado Central, where you can immerse yourself in Nicaraguan cuisine's vibrant colors and flavors. Sample traditional snacks while chatting with friendly vendors and experiencing the everyday life of León's residents. *Morning tour only* Next, we'll visit the iconic León Cathedral (Catedral de la Asunción), a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the largest cathedrals in Central America. Marvel at its impressive architecture and climb to the top for panoramic views of the city and surrounding volcanoes. *Afternoon tour only* Eventually, we'll walk through the south and west sides of the city to learn more about the contemporary history of Nicaragua.
