Discover Patan’s UNESCO Durbar Square, Golden Temple, and ancient courtyards. Join our guided tour to meet the living goddess, explore the royal palace, and experience authentic Newar artisan culture firsthand.
Winding through Patan's ancient city, the tour encompasses iconic temples, hidden Buddhist courtyards, royal palaces, and exquisite Newar architecture. Departing from Patan Dhoka at 10:00 and 14:00 daily, we enter Durbar Square, a UNESCO site to marvel at the stone-carved Krishna Mandir and royal palace. We then slip into narrow backstreets, uncovering hidden bahals (Buddhist courtyards) like Nag Bahal and Rudravarna Mahavihar, where locals perform daily rituals at ancient water spouts. The tour leads to the breathtaking Golden Temple, a 12th-century monastery with shimmering golden facades, before passing workshops where Newar artisans craft brass and bronze statues. Along the way, you'll learn about the living goddess Kumari and the spiritual traditions weaving Hindu and Buddhist beliefs together. Continuing through quiet residential lanes, we pass centuries-old temples and community shrines, finishing at a tranquil spot away from the crowds. Your guide will walk you back to Patan Dhoka or direct you to a bus or taxi.
