Things to do Kyoto’s Timeless Treasures Walking Tour

The guide will ride in the same taxi as the guests. Pontocho We start in Pontocho, a narrow alley lined with wooden buildings and lanterns. It’s a great place to feel Kyoto’s traditional charm. Fushimi Inari Taisha(1 hour) A 10-minute train ride takes us to Fushimi Inari. Walk through thousands of red torii gates stretching into the forest—a powerful and iconic Kyoto experience. Kiyomizu-dera + Ninenzaka & Sannenzaka(1 hour) After a 20-minute taxi ride, we visited Kiyomizu-dera, known for its wooden stage and great views. Then stroll down Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, which are full of shops and sweets. Yasaka Shrine A 20-minute walk brings us to Yasaka Shrine, with its bright gate and calm atmosphere. Locals visit here year-round. Gion Area Finally, we reach Gion, Kyoto’s geisha district. Walk past old teahouses. You might spot a maiko heading to an evening event.
