Things to do Kyoto: Arashiyama UNESCO Walking Tour with Admission

When you visit Kyoto, be sure to capture memorable photos in the iconic Arashiyama Bamboo Grove while enjoying the breathtaking scenery. Our first stop is Tenryu-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you will experience the beauty of traditional Japanese gardens and the spirit of Zen, preserved for over 700 years. After strolling through the temple grounds, we arrive at one of Kyoto’s most enchanting sights—the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. As you walk through this mystical forest, your guide will explain its cultural significance and connection to the UNESCO designation, allowing you to feel the harmony between nature and history. The tour also includes a walk past the guide’s recommended kawaii (cute) shops and local souvenir stores, where you can browse Kyoto’s famous matcha sweets, delicate wagashi, and beautifully crafted bamboo-themed goods. The guide will then accompany you across Togetsukyo Bridge to the Monkey Park area, where the guided tour concludes. If you wish to visit the Monkey Park, you may continue on a self-guided hike. Please note that admission is not included.
