Enjoy a scenic 7 km free tour along the Beblerjeva pot! Discover stunning sea views, shell beaches, and award-winning architecture. Learn the stories that reveal the unique nature and spirit of the Slovenian coast.
I would love to take you on a beautiful 7 km walking tour along the Beblerjeva pot, a route full of coastal charm, gentle hills, and unforgettable views. We begin in Ankaran, a peaceful town, and make our way toward the village of Hrvatini, where the landscape opens to the sea, and the stories of the Slovenian coast come alive.
From there, we ascend the Sanatorski hrib, rising 89 meters above sea level, offering wonderful panoramas of the shoreline. Along the way, I will share insights into local history, nature, and the traditions that shaped this part of Istria. One of the highlights is the church of St. Nicholas and the nearby cemetery, awarded Slovenia’s most prestigious architectural prize — the Plečnik Award — in 2025. We will also stop at several viewpoints, admire a beach entirely covered with seashells, and walk across the salty meadows that stretch along the sea. This route allows us to slow down, breathe deeply, and truly appreciate the unique and vibrant nature of the Slovenian coast.
