Walk the streets and (more importantly) the parks of Karlovac with Nobel Otilia Turk, who herself witnessed the transformation of Karlovac from a war military fortress to an elegant city of river trade, elegant palaces, and vivid social life. Otilia was the beloved second wife of one of the richest men of his time, Franjo Turk Junior. He was not only rich but very prominent, so she was highly appreciated, especially among the firefighter's brigade, as a godmother of their banner. They even wrote a hymn for her!
