Looked for a walking tour to book at the last minute. I had a choice between this tour with no reviews, or other tours with confirmed reviews. I liked the itinerary of this tour better, so I took a chance to book even though it didn't have reviews. My wife and I were VERY happy with our choice.
The tour operator contacted me immediately when I booked, and set everything up. The guide, Sudais, showed up 15 minutes early even though we only booked an hour in advance! Sudais is a young IT student who's been giving tours for a couple of years as a side gig. He clearly has a passion for history and has spent time learning about the places we visited and the history associated with them. He was engaging, very friendly, and answered all our questions. He could brush up a bit on the history of the Hindu temple and the importance of the various statues, but other than that, he really impressed us with his wide-ranging knowledge. As someone who has been on many tours in many countries, impressing me is not easy, but he did it.
I was glad it was just my wife and I on the tour. If there were more people, it might have been difficult to navigate the crazy Kampala markets and use the boda bodas to get to the Palace. All in all, the tour was well-planned and brought us to so many different places within just 1 afternoon. We learned a lot about Ugandan history, the culture, and important events. Exactly what we wanted.
