Radu is experienced and friendly tour guide. He adjusted the tour for my wife, so that we could do the tour with the wheelchair. We were in Iasi for the first time. During the tour we saw many important historical buildings and we learned a lot of information about Iasi. Radu gladly answered all of our questions and gave us useful tips for good Romanian food. “Leider nur bedingt zu empfehlen ”

Unser Guide war überaus freundlich, wusste viel und hat uns anfangs auch einbezogen und gefragt. Auf unseren Wunsch, dass die Tour nur 2 und nicht 2,5 Std. geht, ist er leider nicht eingegangen bzw. wollte er machen, hat er aber nicht. Es hat super spannend begonnen, nur leider fehlte der rote Faden. Er ist in den Zeitangaben sehr hin und her gesprungen und hat leider nur wenig Zusammenhänge hergestellt. Anfangs war er offen für Fragen und Gespräche, später hat er uns nur noch irgendwelche Fakten erzählt. Die Definition der Worte "Fun Fact" sollte er auch noch einmal googeln. ;-) Er war nett, muss aber noch lernen mit der Gruppe zu interagieren. Schade.

We learned so much in such a short time. Our guide, Teodora managed to guide us through this spectacular city and give us details about things we've never heard of. In 2 and a half hours we navigated the city at a good pace, had such a great time with a great guide that could explain so everyone could understand, recommended us places we should visit (food places, monumental places, churches) in the rest of the time. Teodora told us about the history of each place and knew details that only a experienced person could, she's such a friendly and free spirit. Our experience was unique and we wish to come back sometime.

Interesting tour, learned a lot but guide seemed to side track quite often. When asking questions guide also didnt seem to be sure. She defibtely knew a lot but there was details that didn't really add up. Also felt tour could have been more walking and less talking, like make it more compact. Too much nonsense we didn't really need to know.

I love the chance to have taken the tour. However the guide was a no show, and freetour.com haven't replied to my emails, instead asking me to review the tour I didn't get. Was there 10 mins early as requested, and waited 15 mins. See other people have has this issue with guides being 30 mins late. Maybe freetour.com should look into their association with such unreliable guides?

good but the group was bad behaviour one, parents caring about their kids all the time, not really listening, making the guide (theodora), a young girl still 'learning' english not at ease at all. I helped her with her english and confort her by listening to her story. The negative point : was too much blah-blah and visit few places for a 2 hours tour! I guess the other guide (something like Cosmo) was better as he was here waiting for the second one to come and explain things already much better, he was kinda the leader of the project here in Iasi.

We arrived five minutes early and waited for half an hour for a guide, but no one showed up. There were two other couples who waited with us, although unlike us, they said they had not signed up beforehand. This was a huge disappointment and waste of our time.

The Iasi free walking tour was excellent. Our tour guide, Mihai, has a deep and spherical knowledge of Iasi concerning all its aspects, like history, geography, politics, culture, art, traditions, recommended local establishments etc., and a unique ability to communicate effectively all this information to others in an interactive way. Furthermore, he created a very friendly atmosphere and was always happy and ready to answer all our questions. Overall, we really enjoyed the tour, which was flawlessly organised and lasted more than 3 hours, we found it absolutely useful, with a very rich content, and by the end of it we got perfectly familiar with the beautiful city of Iasi.
