Things to do Free Walking Tour of Hvar

We’ll begin our tour in front of the Cathedral, then head toward the part of Hvar where aristocrats and noblemen once lived. After that, we’ll stop at the famous lace museum, located within a Benedictine convent founded in the 16th century. The convent is renowned for its intricate lace made from agave fibers, crafted by only six nuns, the only people in the world who know this technique. The lace is inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. From there, we’ll pass through the old city gates and walls and make our way to the main square, the largest square in Dalmatia and the second largest on the Adriatic coast. We'll stop in front of the City Hall and the Clock Tower, and then continue to the Arsenal and the Renaissance Theatre. Finally, we’ll visit the part of town where the ordinary people once lived, sailors, tradesmen, and merchants. Along the way, you’ll discover fascinating stories about local history and everyday life, and pick up the best insider tips only a local would know. We’ll end the tour at the pier, with a view of the beautiful Paklinski Islands. You'll also learn about the island’s stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife.
