Start at Lake Nkuruba, home to over four monkey species and the oldest of the 52 crater lakes around the Mountains of the Moon. Continue to the Ndali-Kasenda crater lakes, where Lake Nyinambuga, featured on Uganda’s 20,000 shilling banknote, stands out for its beauty.
Optionally, visit a local vanilla farm to learn about the process from planting to drying. Purchasing vanilla is encouraged; otherwise, a small fee applies.
Beyond the lakes, explore local villages, banana plantations, and the bustling farmers' market (held on Mondays and Thursdays).
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or at Lake Nkuruba Nature Reserve. The 3–4-hour tour includes the option of a bodaboda ride if needed.
