Things to do Hiking the Colca Canyon in 2 Days

DAY 1 We start the trip to the Colca Canyon, a journey that will last approximately 3 hours, until we arrive to the town of Chivay, where we will have breakfast. Afterwards, we will go to the viewpoint "Cruz del Condor" to visit it and appreciate the famous flight of the condor and the depth of the canyon. After this visit we will go to Pampas de San Miguel located in the town of Cabanaconde from this point we will begin the hike. We will descend the canyon walking for 03:30 h, to reach San Juan de Chuccho and have lunch. We will continue until we reach Sangalle oasis where we will enjoy its pools and dinner, surrounded by palm trees and its lodge. DAY 2 At 04:30 a.m. We start the hike for 03 hours, to the village of Cabanaconde, we will have breakfast. Stops will be made from Cabanaconde to Chivay We will stop in the district of Yanque to enjoy the thermal medicinal waters. Return to the city of Arequipa, stop at the viewpoint of the volcanoes and the Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca. We will observe the flora and fauna of this beautiful place and then arrive to the city of Arequipa from 17:00 to 18:00 approx.
