Marko did an excellent job for our free tour in Dubrovnik. He provided an earpiece for each participant so we could hear him well. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the region and also led us through the Old Town from one gate to another as he stopped at various points of interest. You lasted about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Luka (in place of Marko) was an absolute delight. Knowledgeable, friendly, and tall so easy to follow! He guided us through a millennium of Dubrovnik history, stopping at some beautifully scenic points and giving a tour that was as insightful as it was entertaining.
The perspectives on Dubrovnik's and Croatia's historic and current socioeconomic climate were fascinating. To top it off, there were radio earpieces so we could hear him even while surrounded by the hubbub of the city streets. Overall, a brilliant experience!

La señora Rumana explica muy bien el contexto histórico de la ciudad, su importancia en el mediterráneo, tiempos de república, guerras, épocas en Yugoslavia e independientes además de el progreso de la sociedad que vivía en Dibrovnik de una manera divertida y para nada aburrida.
Para mi es algo a no faltar si estás visitando Dubrovnik por primera vez.

“Romana is the best”
We have done quite a few FreeTours in Slovenia and Croatia. Romana is one of the best guides we had. She covered the history of Dubrovnik from the earliest to current times and provided good insight into the current issues of tourism and economics.
She was very patient with the questions and also controlled the group well to allow the flow of pedestrians. Someone complimented her at the start of the tour and that proved to be true!

Sometimes the tour felt a bit lost, but it’s part of it. Marko always has a remark, truth bombs about Dubrovnik, it’s people, history and current situations. It helps a lot having the ear pieces and that way everyone can listen to what he says. The kind of tours i love.

The tour's organization and stops did not meet my expectations. It seemed that the guide was not fully engaged, which made it challenging to enjoy the experience. I had a wonderful time in Split previously, so I was hoping for a similarly positive experience this time. Had a cracking free walking tour through Dubrovnik Old City with Marko. Really interesting take on life growing up inside the city walls, the subtle underlying tensions to this day between neighbouring countries, especially amongst the older generations, the history behind the Dubrovnan's allowing trade and commerce to continue for centuries with vying forces trying to gain access, but Dubrovnik remaining Swiss-like in their neutrality and all done with good humour and intelligence. Thoroughly recommend this tour.

“First Time Ever We Walked Away From a Walking Tour.”
Over the past 10 years, we have taken walking tours throughout Europe and have consistently been impressed by the depth of knowledge and detail provided by the guides. Some were architects, others historians or archaeologists, and many were exceptionally knowledgeable local experts who brought their cities to life.
Unfortunately, this tour was a very different experience. We moved less than 100 meters during the first hour because the guide remained in one place for 20–30 minutes at a time. Much of the discussion focused on politics and personal judgments about history rather than informative storytelling or historical insight. After an hour, we decided to leave because we felt the tour was not a good use of our time.
That said, Marko was a very polite young man with strong opinions about politics and life.
By comparison, when we visited Split before Dubrovnik, we had a walking tour with a guide who was a journalist and easily could have gone on at length about politics. However, he stayed focused on factual history and information and allowed guests to form their own opinions. The tour unexpectedly became private because it was only my wife and me, and we actually doubled his tip because of the time and care he invested in sharing the history and culture of his city. His professionalism, knowledge, and passion made the experience both informative and memorable.
