Vlaho was a wealth of information about the Old Town; we learned a lot. His concern over maintaining the residential culture of the Old Town is palpable. Tourists want the area overrun with hotels/BnBs, either, but the euros rule. He was a good group manager and did not let anyone get out of sight. We did rush through a popular areas because of crowds, so that was a good/bad. I wasn't sure if he actually enjoyed his job (Not sure he ever smiled), but he was a good, informative, engaged guide, and I appreciated the time with him. Freetour dot com in general was easy to book, and the follow-up was super.

“One of the most informative tours I've been on”
My lord, there was SO much information on this tour that I felt like it was a paid tour instead of some random free tour I found online. Our tour guide, Antun, I think his name was, was fantastic with so many stories and details that made the city come alive.
You will miss an essential part of Dubrovnik's history if you don't book this tour!

His voice projected effortlessly so that the entire group could hear him and he didn’t use a speaker or headsets like some of the larger group tours that you often see. My husband and I enjoyed our tour with Antun (sp?), who sub'ed for the guid who was originally scheduled. He was excellent with tons of historical facts to support his tour. His tour went by very quickly though it lasted 2 hours. Both hsi organization skill and casual yet informative guide styles put all of us at ease.
I give museum tours at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, so I do understand how challenging at times to give a tour when it's loud outside with many other tour groups around. He managed all with grace and smile.
We would highly recommend Antun's tour to our friends who visit Dubrovnik!

“Inspirational walking tour”
We loved this waking tour, not only because Dubrovnik is such a beautiful place, but also our guide Vlaho is very experienced, very knowledgeable and inspirational. I really feel the human aspect of Dubrovnik. Vlaho is a veteran of the 1991 war and I can feel his patriotic spirit and his love of the place. This is really a rare find and adding color and depth to such a unique town.
