“A so so walk about ”

I had booked with expectations to be taken around with Rashid. But learnt in the morning of the tour that he wouldn't be available. So instead we had Halima guiding us. She is a very lovely young lady and was very careful of our needs and difficulties. But I felt the tour lacked content and information.

“A great way to se the city”

Rashid didn’t take the tour, his friend took me, so I’m not sure this is a fair review. But, Halima was lovely and communicated clearly before we met, she was very personable and friendly. We went to several sites around the city that I otherwise would not have seen so this in itself was worth it. My only criticism is that it lacked the depth and richness of the history/politics of the city.

The walking tour was really nice, Rashid briefed us about the history of Tanzania, and showed us all the good spots, also we were able to try lot of seafood in the local fish market. The overall experience was amazing.

“A walk must have with in Dar es Salaam City.”

Had an amazing walking tour with Rashid. He gave deep dive into the city's rich history, diverse architecture and culture. A fun and alert tour guide that really gives you a feel for the city's history and local life. The most standout was exploring the Kariakoo Market. It is incredibly busy and can be a bit overwhelming, but Rashid was so alert and constantly looked out for me. I felt totally safe navigating the crowds with him leading the way. We also visited the fish market explained how the locals bid for the sea products and more stories when we arrive to each monument location that I definitely would’ve walked right past on my own. We ended the tour at Coco Beach in a local restaurant having Ugali and beans (my first local dish, loving it!!). Highly Recommend ! Asante Rashid for the amazing tour!!

“Absolut recommendable”

The tour with Rashid is highly recommended. It's great to be able to explore this bustling, lively city with someone who knows their way around. Without him, I would never have discovered many of its hidden corners, such as the bell tower of the Protestant church. It was really worthwhile; Rashid explains everything clearly and in detail. It was a very interesting and enjoyable few hours.

IAM very happy that Rashid guided me through the city. Today I was the only one for this programm so we talked about what I can all see and then our safari begun. Rashid guided me to locations where as a tourist otherwise Iwould never go. Furthermore Rashid has a big knowledge especially about the tribes of Tansania. So He could answer any of my questions. He also showed me interesting places like the market and beautiful places like the coco beach.

“Dar highlights”

The exploration actually begins at the hotel. The guide is kind enough to pick me up. We travel to the city via non-touristy areas. In the city, we begin the tour; he arranges for us to climb the church tower. Then we go to the local market, which is a nice sight. We go to the museum, where he explains everything about the tribes. A young, enthusiastic guide tells us all about DAR.
