Things to do From Borovets - Hiking to Musala

The hiking to the highest peak - Musala. There are several routes to climb Mussala peak, but you will experience the greatest one with the most amazing places that could be explored - through Musala hut and the Ice Lake. This route is usually divided into 4 stages starting from the oldest resort in Bulgaria - Borovets: Stage 1: climbing by lift from Borovets to Yastrebets hut; Stage 2: Pedestrian crossing from Yastrebets to Musala hut; Stage 3: Walking from Musala hut to Lake Ledeno; Stage 4: climb from the Ice Lake shelter to the top. Getting around with the lift from Borovets to Yastrebets : 25 minutes Time of Hiking: 4-5 hours Transfers time: 3 hours Walking time: 5-6 hrs (few steep parts; the good physical condition is advisable) Best period: June - September
