Ivan did a wonderful job. Would definitely recommend. A little worrisome that the tour instructions said we should arrive 10 minutes prior to tour but our guide did not show up until the actual time the tour was to begin,, but it all worked out as he called us even though we had given up looking for him and had gone searching elsewhere.

“Bergen Essential Free Walking Tour”
Highly recommend. Packed with information about Norway's history in general, Bergen's in particular. The guide was well informed, funny and engaging. Taken at a manageable pace to parts of Bergen away from the touristic quarters that you'd otherwise not find easily. I personally learned a lot about Norway's history [Vikings and magic mushrooms anyone?!] and the brutal Nazi occupation which included torture and rape but that which was thwarted by brave Resistance.

“A perfect mix of history, culture, local insights, and great foo”
We had a fantastic walking tour in Bergen with Ivan and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. What made the tour stand out was the attention to detail – he even played music connected to some of the historical figures he talked about, which made the experience much more lively and memorable. He also proposed to take photos of us at some of the best spots along the way. Another huge bonus was his extensive background in gastronomy and wine. He gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, bars, and local food which were not turist traps, but great local experiences.
