Come on a journey of prehistoric rock carvings in Gobustan, the oldest of which date back 20,000 years ago and see the Mud volcanoes - one of the biggest attractions that Mother Nature organized in Azerbaijan.
Things to do Gobustan and Mud Volcanoes Tour
We start our journey from Nizami metro station at 9:30 am and drive along the Caspian Sea for around 50 minutes and finally reach the Gobustan museum and nature reserve of petroglyphs.
The reserve is well known with its perfectly preserved rock paintings - petroglyphs - a kind of artistic "archive" of human evolution on the Earth.
After all, tour to Mud Volcanoes: a whole family of ‘geologically flatulent’ little conical mounds that erupt with thick, cold, grey mud.
At 3:00 pm you will be dropped in the city center where you can get lost around the old streets and explore Baku for yourself.
