Ramil made the special time out to come provide me with a very in-depth tour.
I was so touched by the stories he shared and the buildings attached to those real life stories.
I especially loved the part about the old city residents holding their hands together, standing around the Ismail building to protect it from the Soviets destroying it.
I loved the man who became so wealthy and remained so generous that he built so many charities and orphanages, and pipelines that still supply the city with beautiful fresh water !
It was very special to also walk through buildings built by the Polish architects that incorporated Azeri symbols into the design.
I'm such a fan of architecture , it was very meaningful to me to get to know the unique stories behind these buildings.
