Day 1 – Cairo to the White Desert. At 6:00 AM, pick up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and drive 4 hours to Bahariya Oasis (350 km). Enjoy a quick coffee break and see the iron ore railway to Helwan. Bahariya is Egypt’s main source of iron. Arrive at 10:00 AM, meet your safari guide, and take a 4x4 jeep to explore the Black Desert, covered with dark volcanic powder. Continue to Al-Hayz Oasis for lunch and a relaxing hot spring bath. The oasis was once thriving in Roman times and includes a small Water Museum. At 2:00 PM, head to Wadi Agabat in the White Desert, famous for its limestone formations shaped like animals and mushrooms. Try sandboarding and explore the White Desert National Park. By sunset, camp and enjoy dinner by the fire (chicken, rice, vegetables – vegetarian available). Camping gear provided; bring a jacket for the cool night. Day 2 – White Desert to Cairo Enjoy sunrise at 6:00 AM, breakfast, and return toward Bahariya. Stop at Crystal Mountain, a natural hill of shiny quartzite, then relax at Bir Sigam hot spring. Return to Cairo around 4:30 PM.
