We will start the tour with a 2-hour visit to the highest point of the capital, Antananarivo. This place is called Manjakamiadana Rova, or the Queen's Palace. It is one of the most famous historical sites in the country, and it was the palace of Queen Ranavalona III before the French colonization. Afterward, we will take a walking tour of the city center, known as Analakely, where we will observe the daily life of the Malagasy people and visit a local market. Next, we will drive from the city center to some local souvenir shops, where you can find woodcrafts, spices, chocolates, and more.
