Things to do Cape Coast/Kakum Day Tour
Early morning travel from Accra towards the coastal town of Cape Coast. 6:00am pick up in a private air-conditioned vehicle within Accra.
Visit Kakum National Park, a tropical rain forest of an area of about 375 square kilometers notable for nature and wildlife. Hike about 30 minutes ascending the steep hill to the Canopy Walkway suspended between 11-40 meters high above sea level and 350 meters long. Experience nature and the beautiful view of the forest in a secured series of nets and wires.
Continue to Elmina Castle, the oldest colonial building in the Sub-Saharan African, built by the Portuguese in 1482 and later became one of the most important stops on the route of the infamous Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.
Tour the Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as one of the largest slave-holding sites during the infamous Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.
Note that, there is a “Door of Return” ceremony initiation for Diaspora Africans who maybe interested (at an extra charge).
Return to Accra, drop off at location of your choice.
