Welcome to The Pearl of the Danube! With this Free tour you will get a first contact with Budapest. We will give you all the necessary tips to move around the city and we will fly chronologically through the history of Hungary from its beginnings to the present. After this tour you will see the city with the eyes it deserves.
Like any newcomer to the city, we all have the same question, where would my visit begin?
We will help you discover Budapest in a completely different way by following two main lines. On the one hand, we will learn to move as independently as possible, knowing the basic tips for the use of public transport, currency exchange, enjoy its gastronomy as well as its cultural offer.
On the other hand, we will make a historical approach to the origins of Hungary, its glorious imperial past and its turbulent history of the 20th century.
From the center of the Hungarian capital we will visit St. Stephen's Basilica, the Chain Bridge and the Freedom Square.
We will not leave aside the imposing Parliament and many more places that you fall in love with.
We will walk to the Basilica of San Esteban to inquire into the history of this beautiful neoclassical temple and delight ourselves with its imposing twin towers.
We will pass in front of some places such as Freedom Square, the history of Széchenyi through a Cold War bunker to delve into the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the role of Budapest during the war conflicts of the Contemporary Age.
Then we will take a walk towards the banks of the Danube River, admiring the Chain Bridge, the monument of the shoes and an amazing panoramic view of the Buda Castle.
We will also contemplate some relevant points of the Parliament of Budapest. If you look closely you will see the marks of shrapnel on its facade belonging to the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 !!
