Things to do Krakow Grand Tour. Guided Walking City Tour

Our guide will pick you up from a prearranged place and invite you for a walk. In the beginning, you will see the legendary Barbican, one of the two buildings of this type in Europe, and then the main city gate to enter the area of the Old Town in Krakow, which is on the world heritage list. We will walk down the high-end street in Poland and you will learn the history of its eccentric inhabitants. We will enter the city's main square which is also the largest medieval market square in the world. It is there where the greatest attractions of Krakow are located. St. Mary's Church, the Cloth Hall, and the Town Hall Tower to name a few. Together, we will listen to the legendary bugle played from St. Mary's Tower, and, passing through the former Jewish district, we will go to the Jagiellonian University, the oldest in Poland and one of the oldest in Europe. In the courtyard of the beautiful Colegium Maius, your guide will introduce you to the history of famous university graduates, such as Nicolaus Copernicus or Pope John Paul II. Then we will visit one of Krakow's Gothic churches with beautiful stained glass windows. We will continue our walk along the royal road to take a short break at the bottom of Wawel Hill before the second part of the walk-in Krakow's Kazimierz.

A walk to the Jewish Quarter is a completely different architecture and atmosphere and history compared to the Old Town. The Jewish Quarter is a favorite meeting place for Krakow residents, where Krakow's nightlife takes place. We will start our walk with a visit to the local market of the district - Plac Wolnica, where you will find out who and when brought Jews to Poland. We will go through the most beautiful parts of the district, where Steven Spielberg made the film Schindler's List. We will visit Plac Nowy with its flea market. We will take a look at the world's only mini-museum Merdohaj Gebirtig, where you will have the opportunity to see what life was like in pre-war Poland. The walk will end at Szeroka Street, where the district's cultural life is vibrant and the world-famous Jewish Culture Festival takes place every year. It is in this square where 3 of the 7 former synagogues of the Kazimierz district are located. We will visit one of them - the Popper Synagogue, where a cozy bookstore is located and it is a great place to buy unique souvenirs from Krakow. After the walk, we go straight for lunch. The grand walking tour is a story about the city and our local guide will make sure you have a great time.
